Our Infrastructure
Pattern Storage
To enhance the production & run smoothly our foundry having inhouse pattern shop with pattern storage area (40m x 9.5m x 10m) for easier storage & handling of patterns. Considering available 10m height, we are having vertical rack type arragement with articulated stacker crane for storage of patterns. The in-house pattern shop facility is qualified for periodic maintenance and reconditioning of patterns.
Methoding
We have 3rd party service available Auto CAST Simulation (Virtual pouring) which predicts the complete casting process including filling, solidification, cooling and allows the qualitative prediction of various properties of the cast product. We use this facility for methoding which saves actual shop trials and saves time in producing good castings at first go. The necessary method cards are available for every item and are preserved. We do the Gating system as per outcome of simulation & validate the parts before reaching to mass production.
Moulding
We are having ‘TOKYO Make’ Moulding machine which is one of the rigid & accurate result provided Flaskless type machine with cake size of 600 X 700 X 250/250 mm. Prepared Green sand required for moulding is facilitated with DISA make mixer which is supported by sand cooling system to attain the right sand parameters in first time.
Melting
At melting section, we use 2250 kw INDUCTOTHERM make TRITRACK furnace having capacity 1 ton each
The furnaces are equipped with new technology of Melt evaluator which shows the KWHr reading, excess units consumed for heat & does the auto sintering process. The melting section has online molten temperature measurement facility. It also has full-fledged fume extraction system installed, considering environmental norms. We have 8 number ladles with 500 kg capacity each.
Fettling
We use following equipment’s for removal of runner, risers & for finishing of castings
- Shot-blasting machine with spinner hanger arrangement of 500 Kg capacity
- Auto Cycle controlled, Automated, smokeless,
- Robotic fettling is in process.
QC, Testing & Inspection Facilities
Our motto is to strive & exceed the quality requirements of our esteemed customers. This is possible because of our strict in-process controls at all levels. We keep necessary checks at each stage of production, with continuous monitoring, feedback and alterations. We have a team of efficient & courteous employees having sound experience in their relevant fields In order to ensure the physical & dimensional properties of our products, our Quality Control Department has following facilities
- Sand testing lab equipped with various equipment’s like: Sieve Analyzer, Core gas determination, Permeability tester, Muffle furnace, Clay washer, Sand strength tester etc.
- Bruker Quantron make Spectrometer Q4 Tasman which can test 21 elements & machine is having Fe & Ni channels.
- Our Lab is also equipped with Disc polishing machine & Metalsoft make Image analyser to share the accurate microstructure report
- The Physical lab consists of 40T FIE make UTN Machine with extensometer and Optical BHN testing facilities is also available under one roof.
- Marking table with necessary callipers & other measuring instruments for dimensional inspection.
NDT Testing
At Yash Metallics to achive zero quality complaints by consistent performance on all Quality parameters. Present we have facilities to conduct NDT tests like DP and RT as per customers’ requirements i.e testing through Iridium or Cobalt source, as per the product thickness & level of accuracy required.
